چکیده
This study investigated the influence and interactions of geochemical fractions toxic metals in sediments River Ogun Nigeria. Fe, Mn, Zn, Pb, Cr, Co were significantly present across area, while Cu, Ni, Cd negligible. All metals, except found highly above their permissible limits sediments. The bulk metal concentrations followed trend: Fe >> Mn > Zn Pb Cu ? Cr ?Ni Cd. At p = 0.05, (ppm) Co, Cd, F1 1.72–5.84, 13.2–15.0, 1.16–3.41, 56.1–77.2, 198–212, 9.32–14.3, 1.96–3.66, 0.55–1.61, 0.56–1.98, respectively, values 12.1–13.6, 113–270, 67.8–152, 206–275, 514–637, 131–179, 18.5–27.0, 1.31–1.75, 6.11–8.11 for F5, respectively. Overall, showed least highest distributions various forms, Moreover, abundance mobility correlated exchangeable carbonate-bond fractions. Hence, environmental monitoring Pisces should be carried out remediation location is recommended.

Evaluation of background geochemical speciation of heavy metals in overburden topsoil of bituminous sand deposit area, Ondo state, Nigeria
Metals are ubiquitous within the earth crust. However, the exceptional high-level concentration of heavy metals in the soil due to natural or anthropogenic activities and the chemical forms in which they exist determine the level of risk they portend to the environment. This work was aimed at determining the background level of the presence of seven priority toxic metals (Cr, Ni, Pb, As, Cd, Cu...
متن کاملAssessment of Fish Biodiversity in Oni River, Ogun State, Nigeria
For the purpose of sustainable exploitation of the fishery resources of Oni River, Ogun State, Nigeria, the fish biodiversity assessment was carried out. This was conducted by enumerating and identifying fish species composition, measuring the fish length, fish weight, assessing the fish abundance and biomass, determining the length-weight relationships and the length-frequency of the fishes. A...
متن کاملAssessment of heavy metals contamination in Mamut river sediments using sediment quality guidelines and geochemical indices.
This paper describes the concentration of selected heavy metals (Co, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn) in the Mamut river sediments and evaluate the degree of contamination of the river polluted by a disused copper mine. Based on the analytical results, copper showed the highest concentration in most of the river samples. A comparison with Interim Canadian Sediment Quality Guidelines (ICSQG) and Germany Sedi...
متن کاملOrigin and study of geochemical properties of detrital sediments in southwestern Iran
The origin and geochemistry of the sediments that make up the Khuzestan plain as one of the key areas of southwestern Iran has always been discussed. Detailed geochemical studies of these sediments, in addition to determining their origin, can provide appropriate information about weathering, erosion, ancient tectonics and environmental pollution in the Khuzestan plain. In this research, after ...
